This year, Total Produce Ireland participated for the first time, launching our new local produce brand, \u201cGr\u00e1\u201d &#8211; the Irish word for \u201c<em>love<\/em>\u201d or \u201c<em>to have a longing for.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Activity at Bloom centred on the promotion of new 600g Strawberry trays, the first product to carry the Gr\u00e1 name and afforded the opportunity to introduce the brand to both consumers and senior buyers and management from across the Retail, Wholesale and Foodservice sectors. Some 50,000 samples were distributed over the duration of the event and some 2,000 Strawberry trays sold.<\/p>\n<p>The Gr\u00e1 brand is being applied to produce sourced from over 25 of the most experienced and accomplished local growers from across Ireland.
